Peanut Butter Whiskey Cupcakes


Ingredients

TX Whiskey peanut buttercream frosting:

  • 1 stick salted butter (room temp)
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cup TX Whiskey
  • 2lb bag powder sugar
  • 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

Peanut butter cupcakes:

  • 1 box of French vanilla cake
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Cake:

  • Preheat oven to 325
  • BLEND all ingredients in a large bowl at low speed until moist.
  • BEAT at medium speed for 3 minutes.
  • LINE cupcake pans
  • SPOON cake batter into cupcake liners
  • BAKE for 16- 19 minutes
  • ( cupcakes are done when a toothpick is inserted & comes out clean.)
  • Let cool before frosting

TX Whiskey Peanut Buttercream Frosting:

  • Whip butter, peanut butter, vanilla & whiskey in a large bowl until combined.
  • Gradually add powder sugar & alternate heavy whipping cream.
  • Continue whipping on medium/ high speed for 3 minutes or until everything is well incorporated.
  • Spoon out frosting into a piping bag & start piping cupcakes.

For added whiskey: Drizzle TX Whiskey over cupcakes after they are baked, before you frost them.
