Peanut Butter Whiskey Cupcakes
Ingredients
TX Whiskey peanut buttercream frosting:
- 1 stick salted butter (room temp)
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 cup TX Whiskey
- 2lb bag powder sugar
- 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
Peanut butter cupcakes:
- 1 box of French vanilla cake
- 1 cup water
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
Cake:
- Preheat oven to 325
- BLEND all ingredients in a large bowl at low speed until moist.
- BEAT at medium speed for 3 minutes.
- LINE cupcake pans
- SPOON cake batter into cupcake liners
- BAKE for 16- 19 minutes
- ( cupcakes are done when a toothpick is inserted & comes out clean.)
- Let cool before frosting
TX Whiskey Peanut Buttercream Frosting:
- Whip butter, peanut butter, vanilla & whiskey in a large bowl until combined.
- Gradually add powder sugar & alternate heavy whipping cream.
- Continue whipping on medium/ high speed for 3 minutes or until everything is well incorporated.
- Spoon out frosting into a piping bag & start piping cupcakes.
For added whiskey: Drizzle TX Whiskey over cupcakes after they are baked, before you frost them.
